Do the Cha Cha Cha...

You might remember Iyut from our previous blog months ago. Yes, her Pre Pre-wedding pictures that we took. Here's the thing, she's getting married next July and need to finalize everything A.S.A.P.

One of them is being able to find the perfect shoes for the D-day! So, the husband-to-be is , I quote, 17 cm taller than Iyut. So she insisted on having a 9 cm heels. Weeeww. Seriously, you would hurt yourself! Lemme tell you something about Chinese Indonesian wedding, well at least Iyut's wedding. You are required to 1.) wake up at 2am for a makeup session, 2.) Be officially "picked-up" by the family of the husband-to-be at 7am, 3.) Be ready for the holy matrimony at 9am, 4.) Be ready for the tea ceremony at 1pm, 5.) Take pictures with family and wedding pictures with the bridal party at 4pm, 6.) Be ready for the reception and stand to shake the hands of thousand of people at 7pm, and last but not least, 7.) Be ready for the after party at 10pm.

Girl, you need extra comfortable heels to endure that! My sister in law suggested us to look for dancing shoes instead the usual coveted Louboutins or Stuart Weitzmans. The soles of dancing shoes are very soft and are designed to conform to the size of your feet. So last weekend, we went to Gajah Mada Plaza in the hope of finding the perfect pair. On the 2nd floor, there was this custom-made dancing shoes maker (message us for more details). Daang readers! They are soo soooo comfortable, it's like walking on the clouds. And the most important thing, it's affordable. So Iyut ordered a very simple pair of silver peep toe shoes with cute little diamond details. Can't wait to see them in 2 weeks time! We'll post a picture of the finished product then!

Shoes Shoes Shoes (part 2)

Just wanna add on to our post yesterday. This is one stunning pair of shoes that caught our eye while browsing a blog off our blogroll today. Randee by Badgley Mischka is oh-so-very-very-cute. The color, the style, the heels, love it all.

They even have it in other colors! HOO RAH!

Not sure where we can find Badgley Mischka in Jakarta yet. But try online stores such as Amazon, Piperlime, Endless as they do international shipping I believe.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

Brides to be, have you ever been confused about what type of shoes you would wear at your wedding? There are a lot of choices..but we are here to the rescue! We personally feel that, regardless of which type of wedding dress you wear, a sandal/ slingback is a perfect one-size-fits-all solution! We personally do not suggest wearing pumps on your wedding as it will look as too heavy, bulky and too serious for such a fun occassion!

Here are our suggestions, ranging from Rene Caovilla (personal favourite), Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin.

For those who live in Jakarta here are the list of places where you can possibly find these shoes:
Rene Caovilla search at On Pedder, Plaza Indonesia Level 2
Manolo Blahnik go to Harvey Nichols, Grand Indonesia East Mall
Jimmy Choo has 2 retail stores in Jakarta: Plaza Senayan Level 1 & Plaza Indonesia Level 1
Christian Louboutin has a retail store at Plaza Indonesia Level 1

 Enjoy!
