Don't get me wrong. I am so in love with rose bouquet and I am set with my bridesmaids using their DIY baby's breath bouquet. However, while in the course of preparing the decor, I am curious as to types of flowers and their meaning...
White rose: Heavenly, Reverence, Humility, Youthfulness and Innocence
Amaryllis: Pastoral Poetry, Pride
Chrysanthemum: Slighted Love
Hydrangea: Vanity. A regard for understanding
Peony: Healing Life. Happy Marriage.
Baby's Breath: Happiness
Parrot Tulip (Tulip): Symbol of Perfect Lover
Anemone: Forsaken.
Ranunculus: Dazzled by charm.
So which one would you pick? Mine is peonies!!

Inspiration Board - Antique Gold
As I am going through my wedding preparation, I can't help but to notice my interest on certain color schemes or places that inspires me. I am always drawn to muted colors. Pewter, grey, taupe, velvet brick brown, and vintage diamonds are my most favorite colors of all time!
However, considering that my family has a Chinese backbone (a really strong one), I have to incorporate some burst of gold/ red in my wedding theme. I really want to avoid the usual Chinese receptions wedding; i.e. with gold/red-maroon combinations like Versailles gone to Shanghai (so lame!). Instead, I want to create an old glamour look. A romantic but yet sturdy with extra attention to detail of casualness (sounds so random but that's just the way I imagine it would be).
This is just a draft though...so anticipate lots and lots and lots of revision going towards September 2011! Enjoy!
